How do I get data off the hard drive in my dead computer?

My computer has died on me. I can't get it to boot up. I need to take the hard drive out and pull my files off from it. How do I retrieve the files off my hard drive? Thanks for any help you can give me.

HP will make Windows 8 tablets, no WebOS plans yet

Hewlett-Packard announced Thursday that it has decided to keep its PC business, which is the world's largest, after considering a spinoff of its "personal services group."

Such as separation was first proposed in August by HP's then-Chief Executive Leo Apotheker, who was ousted in September in favor of former EBay CEO Meg Whitman. Whitman and HP have decided to stick with PCs.

But what about tablets? And what about HP's WebOS operating system, which also went under a strategic review in August?

Windows Tablet PC ‘OCS9’ Pre-orders Begin Oct. 18, Will Feature Smart O-bar

OCS9, OCOSMOS' new tablet PC, will be sold by pre-order online starting Oct. 18 through technology retailer Dynamism. While the option to pre-order will only be available in the U.S., Japan and Korea, OCOSMOS says it will soon begin to market products in other countries. However, the company has not listed the price of the tablet yet.
